There aren’t any amazing breweries really, Third Window is probably your best bet. Or drive the 35 minutes to Ventura and go to Casa Agria and Madewest :)

Llama Dog has a solid selection of beers on tap + two beer fridges, but it is a really popular spot, especially on the weekends

Thanks, will check lama dog! Not too far from my hotel.

I would say this of pils generally this time of year.

Also, started seeing schlenkerla helles in tallboy 4pks at my local bottle shop, apparently canned stateside.

Rothaus Pils is incredible. I don't give a fuck if it's $15 a sixer i'm gonna go through cases of that shit this summer

And that schlenkerla helles is nasty, tastes like smoked meat. no thanks

I work at Third Window, come say hi!

Llama dog is a great craft beer bar with a lot of quality options.

are we just embracing that timbo isn't a pilsner? I am ok with that but technically that is still a lagered beer.

this would be great but i assume it's like $30 a 4-pack or something nuts considering 12oz Bottle of Petite Sour Peach or Sour Raspberry is $8.99 here.

made it out to Monkish yesterday for the first time in a while, to my delight they had Foggy Window on tap. Still the juiciest.
Even More Props and Stunts, a dry-hopped DIPA, was also excellent and a cut above their mass of regular "still really good hazy IPA" beers

I’ve found myself just drinking more lagers and things like that. I only crave stuff that finishes clean and crisp.

I still like my dumb ol hazies. I’ve been trying to drink through some of the sours/saisons I’ve had piling up lately but it’s giving me major acid reflux and that makes me sad.

Think I'm heading to Casa Agria on a Sunday in a few weeks. What can I expect?

Are there usually bottles, etc. to go? Are there always food trucks available or am I gonna need to find somewhere else to eat in the area? Thanks.

Usually plenty of bottles. I've never seen a food truck there, but I know they visit sometimes.

Fort George 3 way IPA is out. It's now officially 'summer'. Holy Mountain and Modern Times this year. It's good, nothing i can't get on the regular from others (matchless, mirage), but a good 4 pack.

the only difference is the 3-way will probably sell out around town in a week. because seattle. and those others will stay self available.

yeah, having "Lawsons" on the label really makes people go overboard. but as long as it's around DC for $14/4pk, i'll pick it up while its fresh.

i wish there was a bigger drop of super session; it's also nothing earth-shattering, but it's way better than your average session ipa.
