4:44 is so good.

I wonder if Kanye likes Broadcast.

This came on after Rose in Harlem and I just thought, I wonder if Kanye likes Broadcast:

The Taylor album is such a vibe. Really excited to live with this in different moods. Three listens in and it's reeaaaal nice.

Rose in Harlem and Never Would Have Made It are superrr.

Every time I revisit ye I love it more.

yeah ye still seems extremely good to me. i find a lot of the parts that might seem dumb (e.g. the intro on i thought about killing you) very endearing.

i also think with a bit more distance 'wouldn't leave' was a smart way of addressing the issues with the leadup to the album that will age better than any explicit discussion about it could have. i'm not saying that he shouldn't apologize elsewhere etc., but i think the track does a good job acknowledging it as an event in his life that happened and using it for something else, and will be easier to take in the future than anything that took the tmz conversation as its real topic.

on second listen KTSE is extremely good. i think it suffers from the same thing that daytona did where it's kind of frontloaded. the first 3 or 4 songs, especially 'hold on', are incredible, and it makes me want to start from the beginning instead of going on.

maybe i'm just not familiar enough with the back end yet though.

Yeah I caught that too. There's references to all the goings on all over the records. He says Scoop like 3 different places.

its funny, my read of most of MBDTF has always been to see it as one big circumlocutionary apology - it didn't occur to me to read Wouldn't Leave that way until you mentioned it, cooly, but it makes sense and I think you're right

so i did not expect the Taylor to be my favourite of the Run but here i am.
pretty enjoyable record ... which can't be said of a lot of the material on the other records imo.

Perhaps it is not surprising to learn that eight days before its release, Kanye said, he’d had none of the lyrics of “Ye” written. And he still went to see “Deadpool 2.” Twice.

“I was so self-conscious about the nanny and the housekeeper that I didn’t want them to hear me screaming in the living room,” Kanye said. “I think that that’s such a metaphor of something for the existence of so-called well-off people that they’re not really well-off — they won’t even scream in their own house.”

He was talking there about a therapeutic scream that Tony Robbins asked him to do. Not like screaming at your s/o or kids.
