That was a painful watch, this movie blows on every level. Fuck it. I revisited this great post, need to rewatch the original Alien

Alien: Isolation is such a good game, but it's also waaaay too long. Or maybe I'm just a baby and couldn't handle that much suspense for so long a time.

im a little scaredy boy when it comes to suspenseful games but all the praise has got me wanting to try isolation

i even turned down the sound during the ghost parts of the witcher 3

i liked this way more than Prometheus but that's not saying much

still really have no idea about any of the mythology or what David was up to or what the dusts do but at least they weren't spending tons of time trying to explain it. a few of the scenes were nail biters, can't think Scott has come close to something this exciting in a long time.

wait, is this gibson being cheeky or is he really talking about hicks? i don't remember how much of a role bishop played in his script, honestly:

"As for my screenplay, I’d like to point out that I worked from a treatment provide by the film’s three producers, so it wasn’t my idea, at all, to jettison Ripley,” Gibson said. “Unhappy with that, as a fan of the previous two films, I went for a multiple helping of Bishop, my second favorite human character in the first film.”
