tell me why mutations is a better record than sea change

because as a beck fan myself mutations has always seemed like exactly the kind of fraud he had to dodge accusations of for years. such empty, bland pastiche. and sea change, for any of its faults, is none of that. and yet every other beck fan i've ever known seems to think mutation is some kind of masterpiece

i mean "static" is pretty good but i swear to god the rest of this album is unlistenable

Sea Change sucks, Mutations is Beck's best record

Hope that helps

I don’t plan on ever listening to either of these records ever again

I’d probably break out OFITG if I felt like I really needed some beck in my life

Beck writing directly about his emotions is SO bad. It's incredibly bad. Some of the worst music!

Anyway he never made a good record after Sea Change. It is a fucking terrible record.
