I feel like I haven't heard Keef sound so lucid in a while now.

I don't know if it was discussed and I'm just late but Tutuland ep/mixtape by SOBXRBE & Big Money is fire. I pretty much go back and forth between that and the new Lil Baby.

The new Flocka is good too but it's fucking long.

huh when did keef stop being lucid? hes been fucking dope this whole time.

i thought everyone agreed that his current run (2 0 1 7 -> thott breaker -> dedication) is solid as fuck. and now ottopsy which is just a continuation this run.

(not really sure about 'the w', was that even an official release?)

Yet the penchant for sexual violence is higher than ever before, definitely been a step in the wrong direction imo.

Ya I've been loving all the recent keef releases, maybe lucid is the wrong word but he seemed to have more energy, less mumbly, and more dexterous on this release than the others but maybe I'm still confusing him for the older keef rather than New keef.

I haven't really liked much rap in the last few years. Is there anybody new akin to Vince Staples/Isaiah Rashad/Danny Brown right now? I like the new Lorde Fredd33 album a lot. The past few years of trap music have been pretty off-putting for me. Thanks!

I hate the annual cycle of seeing the xxl list, being annoyed over overlooked artists, & then realizing it's a stupid gimmick and doesn't matter.

who do you feel is missing? I find it a little hard to understand their definition of 'freshman' but would have been cool to see like sah babii, lil baby, yhung To, cuban doll, molly brazy or rico nasty up there. i'm guessing Tay K would have been there :(

lil xan & nba youngboy were robbed
rico nasty/bhad bhabie over stefflon
sah babii is unlucky his big release was so long ago
maxo kream needs to stop trying to make it
gunna, lil baby, young nudy & lil wop but they will be on 2019 cover cause xxl is always behind
peep, 6ix9ine, 03 greedo and tay k should make it on songs/talent but wont for all obvious reasons

this years list actually has less throw away rappers than most years tbh

Sahbabii, Unotheactivist, Lil Baby, Famous Dex (even though I'm still :? on him, the rap world isn't), Key, Maxo, Nudy, youngboy. Not all of them obviously just some names that I think are new and big enough to qualify. Rich the Kid claims to have turned it down, but I don't know if that's him being sour like with the lil uzi beef, but I also think he has had too much of a career to constitute being "freshman" to your point.

also lol @ lil xan being robbed. C'mon.

Look at me taking this seriously
